James 2:5

2:5 Listen, my dear brothers and sisters! 1  Did not God choose the poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that he promised to those who love him?

James 2:11

2:11 For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” 2  also said, “Do not murder.” 3  Now if you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a violator of the law.

James 5:14

5:14 Is anyone among you ill? He should summon the elders of the church, and they should pray for him and anoint 4  him with oil in the name of the Lord.

James 5:17

5:17 Elijah was a human being 5  like us, and he prayed earnestly 6  that it would not rain and there was no rain on the land for three years and six months!

James 5:20

5:20 he should know that the one who turns a sinner back from his wandering path 7  will save that person’s 8  soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.
