• [Isa 55:1] Ho, Every One That Is Thirsty!

  Ho! every one that is thirsty in spirit, Ho! every one that is weary and sad; Come to the fountain, there’s fullness in Jesus, All that you’re longing for: come and be glad! Refrain “I will pour water on him that is thirsty, I will pour floods upon the dry ground; Open your hearts for the gifts I am bringing; While ye are seeking Me, I will be found.” Child of the world, are you tired of your bondage? Weary of earth joys, so false, so untrue? Thirsting for God and His fullness of blessing? List to the promise, a message for you! Refrain Child of the kingdom, be filled with the Spirit! Nothing but “fullness” thy longing can meet; ’Tis the enduement for life and for service; Thine is the promise, so certain, so sweet. Refrain

  Ho! every one that thirsts, draw nigh: ’Tis God invites the fallen race: Mercy and free salvation buy; Buy wine, and milk, and gospel grace. Come to the living waters, come! Sinners, obey your Maker’s call; Return, ye weary wanderers, home, And find My grace is free for all. See from the rock a fountain rise! For you in healing streams it rolls; Money ye need not bring, nor price, Ye laboring, burdened, sin-sick souls. Nothing ye in exchange shall give; Leave all you have and are behind; Frankly the gift of God receive; Pardon and peace in Jesus find.

• [Isa 55:1] Let Every Mortal Ear Attend

  Let every mortal ear attend, And every heart rejoice; The trumpet of the Gospel sounds With an inviting voice. Lo! all ye hungry, starving souls That feed upon the wind, And vainly strive with earthly toys To fill an empty mind. Eternal Wisdom has prepared A soul reviving feast, And bids your longing appetites The rich provision taste. Ho! ye that pant for living streams, And pine away and die, Here you may quench your raging thirst With springs that never dry. Rivers of love and mercy here In a rich ocean join; Salvation in abundance flows, Like floods of milk and wine. Ye perishing and naked poor, Who work with mighty pain To weave a garment of your own That will not hide your sin, Come naked, and adorn your souls In robes prepared by God, Wrought by the labors of His Son, And dyed in His own blood. Dear God! the treasures of Thy love Are everlasting mines, Deep as our helpless miseries are, And boundless as our sins. The happy gates of Gospel grace Stand open night and day; Lord, we are come to seek supplies, And drive our wants away.

  Do you hear the Savior calling, By the wooings of His voice? Do you hear the accents falling? Will you make the precious choice? Refrain Are you listening? Are you listening?   On where the cross is leading, Under the glorious banner go; Marching in phalanx brave and strong, We fear not to meet the foe. Refrain On, on, united in His love! On, on, to joy and peace above; Marching together, loyal forever, Jesus is leading—on for the King! • [Isa 55:6] My Son, Know Thou The Lord

  My son, know thou the Lord, Thy father’s God obey; Seek His protecting care by night, His guardian hand by day. Call, while He may be found; Seek Him while He is near; Serve Him with all thy heart and mind, And worship Him with fear. If Thou wilt seek his face, His ear will hear Thy cry; Then shalt Thou find His mercy sure, His grace forever nigh. But if thou leave thy God, Nor choose the path to heaven, Then shalt thou perish in thy sins, And never be forgiven.

• [Isa 55:6] Seek The Lord Who Now Is Present

  Seek the Lord who now is present, pray to One who is at hand. Let the wicked cease from sinning, evildoers change their mind. On the sinful God has pity; those returning God forgives. This is what the Lord is saying to a world that disbelieves. “Judge Me not by human standards! As the vault of heaven soars High above the earth, so higher are my thoughts and ways than yours. See how rain and snow from heaven make earth blossom and bear fruit, Giving you, before returning, seed for sowing, bread to eat: “So My Word returns not fruitless; does not from its labors cease Till it has achieved My purpose in a world of joy and peace.” God is love! How close the prophet to that vital gospel word! In Isaiah’s inspiration it is Jesus we have heard!

• [Isa 55:7] Sinners, The Voice Of God Regard

  Sinners, the voice of God regard; ’Tis mercy speaks today; He calls you by His sacred Word From sin’s destructive way. Like the rough sea that cannot rest, You live devoid of peace; A thousand stings within your breast Deprive your souls of ease. Your way is dark, and leads to hell; Why will you persevere? Can you in endless torments dwell, Shut up in black despair? Why will you in the crooked ways Of sin and folly go? In pain you travel all your days, To reap eternal woe. But he that turns to God shall live Through His abounding grace: His mercy will the guilt forgive Of those that seek His face. Bow to the scepter of His Word, Renouncing every sin, Submit to Him, your sovereign Lord, And learn His will divine. His love exceeds your highest thoughts, He pardons like a God; He will forgive your numerous faults, Through a Redeemer’s blood.

• [Isa 55:7] Yes, There Is Pardon For You

  Oh come to the Savior, believe in His Name, And ask Him your heart to renew; He waits to be gracious, O turn not away, For now there is pardon for you. Refrain Yes, there is pardon for you, Yes, there is pardon for you; For Jesus has died to redeem you, And offers full pardon to you. The way of transgression that leads unto death, Oh, why will you longer pursue? How can you reject the sweet message of love That offers full pardon for you? • [Isa 55:8] The Two Views

  To man, it seemed that Evil had prevailed, That His fair life had altogether failed, And naught was left but what the Cross impaled— But God saw otherwise! They would have hailed Him King, and with acclaim, Upon the wings of His far reaching fame, Have swept the land like a devouring flame; But God saw otherwise! It seemed as though His life had gone for naught— Nothing to show for that long battle fought, But a pale prisoner to the gibbet brought— But God saw otherwise! No lasting good seemed ever like to come Of all His sowing—neither fruit nor bloom, Instead—a felon’s cross, an alien tomb— But God saw otherwise! We, too, at times, come nigh to lose our hope, When with life’s evils we no more can cope, And in the dark with heavy hearts we grope; But God saw otherwise!
