Isaiah 40:26-29

• [Isa 40:28] Blest Be Our Everlasting Lord

  Blest be our everlasting Lord, Our Father, God, and King! Thy sovereign goodness we record, Thy glorious power we sing. By Thee the victory is giv’n; The majesty divine, And strength, and might, and earth, and Heav’n, And all therein, are Thine. The kingdom, Lord, is Thine alone, Who dost Thy right maintain, And high on Thine eternal throne, O’er men and angels reign. Riches, as seemeth good to Thee, Thou dost, and honor, give; And kings their power and dignity Out of Thy hand receive. Thou hast on us the grace bestowed Thy greatness to proclaim; And therefore now thank we our God, And praise Thy glorious Name. Thy glorious Name and nature’s powers Thou dost to us make known; And all the Deity is ours, Through Thy incarnate Son.

• [Isa 40:28] Have You Not Known, Have You Not Heard

  Have you not known, have you not heard That firm remains on high The everlasting throne of Him Who formed the earth and sky? Are you afraid His power shall fail When comes your evil day? And can an all creating arm Grow weary or decay? Supreme in wisdom as in power The Rock of Ages stands, Though Him you cannot see, nor trace The working of His hands. He gives the conquest to the weak, Supports the fainting heart; And courage in the evil hour His heavenly aids impart. Mere human power shall fast decay, And youthful vigor cease; But they who wait upon the Lord In strength shall still increase. They with unwearied feet shall tread The path of life divine; With growing ardor onward move, With growing brightness shine. On eagles’ wings they mount, they soar, Their wings are faith and love; Till, past the cloudy regions here, They rise to Heav’n above.
