Isaiah 37:33

Context37:33 So this is what the Lord says about the king of Assyria:
‘He will not enter this city,
nor will he shoot an arrow here. 1
He will not attack it with his shielded warriors, 2
nor will he build siege works against it.
Isaiah 65:22
Context65:22 No longer will they build a house only to have another live in it, 3
or plant a vineyard only to have another eat its fruit, 4
for my people will live as long as trees, 5
and my chosen ones will enjoy to the fullest what they have produced. 6

3 tn Heb “they will not build, and another live [in it].”
4 tn Heb “they will not plant, and another eat.”

6 tn Heb “the work of their hands” (so KJV, NASB, NIV, NRSV); NLT “their hard-won gains.”
