Isaiah 37:19

Context
37:19 They have burned the gods of the nations, 1  for they are not really gods, but only the product of human hands manufactured from wood and stone. That is why the Assyrians could destroy them. 2

Isaiah 48:5

Context

48:5 I announced them to you beforehand;

before they happened, I predicted them for you,

so you could never say,

‘My image did these things,

my idol, my cast image, decreed them.’

Isaiah 51:10

Context

51:10 Did you not dry up the sea,

the waters of the great deep?

Did you not make 3  a path through the depths of the sea,

so those delivered from bondage 4  could cross over?

1 tn Heb “and they put their gods in the fire.”

2 tn Heb “so they destroyed them” (NASB similar).

3 tn The Hebrew text reads literally, “Are you not the one who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep, who made…?”

4 tn Heb “the redeemed” (so ASV, NASB, NIV, NRSV); KJV “the ransomed.”
