Isaiah 30:14

Context

30:14 It shatters in pieces like a clay jar,

so shattered to bits that none of it can be salvaged. 1 

Among its fragments one cannot find a shard large enough 2 

to scoop a hot coal from a fire 3 

or to skim off water from a cistern.” 4

36:16 Don’t listen to Hezekiah!’ For this is what the king of Assyria says, ‘Send me a token of your submission and surrender to me. 5  Then each of you may eat from his own vine and fig tree and drink water from his own cistern,
