We waited for him and he delivered us.

Here 3  is the Lord! We waited for him.

Let’s rejoice and celebrate his deliverance!”

Isaiah 26:1

Context
Judah Will Celebrate

26:1 At that time 4  this song will be sung in the land of Judah:

“We have a strong city!

The Lord’s 5  deliverance, like walls and a rampart, makes it secure. 6

Isaiah 46:13

Context

46:13 I am bringing my deliverance near, it is not far away;

I am bringing my salvation near, 7  it does not wait.

I will save Zion; 8

I will adorn Israel with my splendor.” 9

Isaiah 51:8

Context

51:8 For a moth will eat away at them like clothes;

a clothes moth will devour them like wool.

But the vindication I provide 10  will be permanent;

the deliverance I give will last.”

Isaiah 52:7

Context

52:7 How delightful it is to see approaching over the mountains 11

the feet of a messenger who announces peace,

a messenger who brings good news, who announces deliverance,

who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” 12

Isaiah 59:9

Context
Israel Confesses its Sin

59:9 For this reason deliverance 13  is far from us 14

and salvation does not reach us.

We wait for light, 15  but see only darkness; 16

we wait for 17  a bright light, 18  but live 19  in deep darkness. 20

Isaiah 60:18

Context

60:18 Sounds of violence 21  will no longer be heard in your land,

or the sounds of 22  destruction and devastation within your borders.

You will name your walls, ‘Deliverance,’

and your gates, ‘Praise.’

Isaiah 61:11--62:1

Context

61:11 For just as the ground produces its crops

and a garden yields its produce,

so the sovereign Lord will cause deliverance 23  to grow,

and give his people reason to praise him in the sight of all the nations. 24

The Lord Takes Delight in Zion

62:1 “For the sake of Zion I will not be silent;

for the sake of Jerusalem 25  I will not be quiet,

until her vindication shines brightly 26

and her deliverance burns like a torch.”

Isaiah 63:5

Context

63:5 I looked, but there was no one to help;

I was shocked because there was no one offering support. 27

So my right arm accomplished deliverance;

my raging anger drove me on. 28
