Context22:18 He will wind you up tightly into a ball
and throw you into a wide, open land. 1

1 tn Heb “and he will tightly [or “surely”] wind you [with] winding like a ball, to a land broad of hands [i.e., “sides”].”
2 tn Heb “and there the chariots of your splendor.”
3 sn Apparently the reference to chariots alludes to Shebna’s excessive pride, which in turn brings disgrace to the royal family.
4 sn Moab is addressed.
5 tn Heb “a fortification, the high point of your walls.”
6 tn Heb “he will bring [it] down, he will make [it] touch the ground, even to the dust.”
7 tn Heb “the platings of your silver idols.”
8 tn Heb “the covering of your gold image.”
