Context21:9 Look what’s coming!
A charioteer,
a team of horses.” 1
When questioned, he replies, 2
“Babylon has fallen, fallen!
All the idols of her gods lie shattered on the ground!”

Context37:16 “O Lord who commands armies, O God of Israel, who is enthroned on the cherubim! 3 You alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You made the sky 4 and the earth.
Isaiah 65:8
Context65:8 This is what the Lord says:
“When 5 juice is discovered in a cluster of grapes,
someone says, ‘Don’t destroy it, for it contains juice.’ 6
So I will do for the sake of my servants –
I will not destroy everyone. 7
1 tn Or “[with] teams of horses,” or perhaps, “with a pair of horsemen.”
2 tn Heb “and he answered and said” (so KJV, ASV).
3 sn Cherubim (singular “cherub”) refers to the images of winged angelic creatures that were above the ark of the covenant.
4 tn Or “the heavens.” The Hebrew term שָׁמַיִם (shamayim) may be translated “heavens” or “sky” depending on the context.
5 tn Heb “just as.” In the Hebrew text the statement is one long sentence, “Just as…, so I will do….”
6 tn Heb “for a blessing is in it.”
7 tn Heb “by not destroying everyone.”
