Isaiah 2:8

Context

2:8 Their land is full of worthless idols;

they worship 1  the product of their own hands,

what their own fingers have fashioned.

Isaiah 17:8

17:8 They will no longer trust in 2  the altars their hands made,

or depend on the Asherah poles and incense altars their fingers made. 3 

Isaiah 59:3

Context

59:3 For your hands are stained with blood

and your fingers with sin;

your lips speak lies,

your tongue utters malicious words.

Isaiah 59:16

The Lord Intervenes

59:16 He sees there is no advocate; 4 

he is shocked 5  that no one intervenes.

So he takes matters into his own hands; 6 

his desire for justice drives him on. 7 

Isaiah 65:2

Context

65:2 I spread out my hands all day long

to my rebellious people,

who lived in a way that is morally unacceptable,

and who did what they desired. 8
