Isaiah 5:1
-
[Isa 5:1] We Have Heard
We have heard from the bright, the holy land;
We have heard, and our hearts are glad;
For we were a lonely pilgrim band,
And weary, and worn, and sad.
They tell us the saints have a dwelling there—
No longer are homeless ones;
And we know that the goodly land is fair,
Where life’s pure river runs.They say green fields are waving there,
That never a blight shall know;
And the deserts wild are blooming fair,
And the roses of Sharon grow.
There are lovely birds in the bowers green,
Their songs are blithe and sweet;
And their warblings, gushing ever new,
The angels’ harpings greet.We have heard of the palms, the robes, the crowns,
And the silvery band in white.
Of the city fair, with pearly gates,
All radiant with light.
We have heard of the angels there, and saints,
With their harps of gold, how they sing;
Of the mount with the fruitful tree of life,
Of the leaves that healing bring.The King of that country, He is fair,
He’s the joy and light of the place;
In His beauty we shall behold Him there,
And bask in His smiling face.
We’ll be there, we’ll be there in a little while,
We’ll join the pure and the blest;
We’ll have the palm, the robe, the crown,
And forever be at rest.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Isaiah 6:1
-
[Isa 6:1] Isaiah, Mighty Seer
Isaiah, mighty seer, in days of old
The Lord of all in spirit did behold
High on a lofty throne, in splendor bright,
With flowing train that filled the temple quite.
Above the throne were stately seraphim;
Six wings had they, these messengers of Him.
With twain they veiled their faces, as was meet,
With twain in reverent awe they hid their feet,
And with the other twain aloft they soared,
One to the other called and praised the Lord:
“Holy is God, the Lord of Sabaoth!
Holy is God, the Lord of Sabaoth!
Holy is God, the Lord of Sabaoth!
Behold, His glory filleth all the earth!”
The beams and lintels trembled at the cry,
And clouds of smoke enwrapped the throne on high.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Isaiah 6:3
-
[Isa 6:3] Bright The Vision That Delighted
Bright the vision that delighted
Once the sight of Judah’s seer;
Sweet the countless tongues united
To entrance the prophet’s ear.Round the Lord in glory seated
Cherubim and seraphim
Filled His temple, and repeated
Each to each the alternate hymn:“Lord, Thy glory fills the Heaven;
Earth is with its fullness stored;
Unto Thee be glory given,
Holy, holy, holy Lord.”Heaven is still with glory ringing,
Earth takes up the angels’ cry,
“Holy, holy, holy,” singing,
“Lord of hosts, the Lord most high.”With His seraph train before him,
With His holy Church below,
Thus conspire we to adore Him,
Bid we thus our anthem flow.“Lord, Thy glory fills the Heaven;
Earth is with its fullness stored;
Unto Thee be glory given,
Holy, holy, holy Lord.”Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 6:3] Day Is Dying In The West
Day is dying in the west;
Heav’n is touching earth with rest;
Wait and worship while the night
Sets the evening lamps alight
Through all the sky.Refrain
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of Hosts!
Heav’n and earth are full of Thee!
Heav’n and earth are praising Thee,
O Lord most high!Lord of life, beneath the dome
Of the universe, Thy home,
Gather us who seek Thy face
To the fold of Thy embrace,
For Thou art nigh.Refrain
While the deepening shadows fall,
Heart of love enfolding all,
Through the glory and the grace
Of the stars that veil Thy face,
Our hearts ascend.Refrain
When forever from our sight
Pass the stars, the day, the night,
Lord of angels, on our eyes
Let eternal morning rise
And shadows end.Refrain

[Isa 6:3] Eternal Wisdom, Thee We Praise
Eternal Wisdom! Thee we praise,
Thee the creation sings,
With Thy loved Name, rocks, hills, and seas,
And Heaven’s high palace rings.Thy hand, how wide it spreads the sky!
How glorious to behold!
Tinged with a blue of heavenly dye,
And starred with sparkling gold.There Thou hast bid the globes of light
Their endless circles run;
There the pale planet rules the night,
The day obeys the sun.If down I turn my wondering eyes
On clouds and storms below,
Those under-regions of the skies
Thy numerous glories show.The noisy winds stand ready there
Thy orders to obey;
With sounding wings they sweep the air,
To make Thy chariot way.There, like a trumpet loud and strong,
Thy thunder shakes our coast,
While the red lightnings wave along,
The banners of Thy host.On the thin air, without a prop,
Hang fruitful showers around;
At Thy command they sink, and drop
Their fatness on the ground.Lo! here Thy wondrous skill arrays
The earth in cheerful green;
A thousand herbs Thy art displays,
A thousand flowers between.There, the rough mountains of the deep
Obey Thy strong command,
Thy breath can raise the billows steep,
Or sink them to the sand.Thy glories blaze all nature round,
And strike the wondering sight
Through skies, and seas, and solid ground,
With terror and delight.Infinite strength and equal skill
Shine through Thy works abroad.
Our souls with vast amazement fill.
And speak the builder God.But the mild glories of Thy grace
Our softer passions move;
Pity divine in Jesu’s face
We see, adore, and love.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 6:3] Father All Holy
Father all holy, bend we so lowly,
Glowing with love’s tender flame;
Father in Heaven, praises be given,
Hallowed forever Thy Name.
Telling the story, spreading Thy glory,
Send forth Thy people, we pray,
Till every nation know Thy salvation,
Under Thy kingdom’s full sway.Angels adore Thee, waiting before Thee,
Swift Thy commands to fulfill:
Grant us, we pray Thee, grace to obey Thee,
Choosing and serving Thy will.
Father, now lead us, day by day feed us,
Ever provide and defend;
Trespass confessing, seeking Thy blessing,
Pardon and peace without end.From sin deliver, keep us forever,
Kingdom and glory are Thine;
Thine, too, the power, hear us this hour,
Father, our Father divine!
Jesus is pleading, still interceding,
For His redeemed ones again,
For His sake hear us, in His Name cheer us,
He is the faithful “Amen.”Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 6:3] Father And Friend! Thy Light, Thy Love
Father and Friend! Thy light, Thy love,
Beaming through all Thy works we see;
Thy glory gilds the heavens above,
And all the earth is full of Thee.Thy voice we hear, Thy presence feel,
While Thou, too pure for mortal sight,
Involved in clouds, invisible,
Reignest the Lord of life and light.We know not in what hallowed part
Of the wide heavens Thy throne may be,
But this we know, that where Thou art,
Strength, wisdom, goodness dwell with Thee.Thy children shall not faint nor fear,
Sustained by this exalted thought;
Since Thou, their God, art everywhere,
They cannot be where Thou art not!Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 6:3] Father, Thine Elect Who Lovest
Father, Thine Elect who lovest
With an everlasting love;
Savior, who the bar removest
From the holy home above;
Spirit, daily meetness bringing
For the glory there upstored;
List to Thy glad people singing,
“Holy, holy, holy, Lord!”Lord, with sin-bound souls Thou bearest,
Struggling towards this strain divine;
Glad on mortal lips Thou hearest
That thrice awful Name of Thine.
But Thou listenest, O how sweetly!
When from holy lips outpoured,
Rings through Heaven this strain full meetly,
“Holy, holy, holy, Lord!”Shall we, Lord, meet voices never
Bring to that eternal hymn?
Hallow us to help the endeavor
Of Thy pure-lipped seraphim:
Hark! their own high strain we bring Thee;
Listen to the full accord!
Sweet the song we ever sing Thee,
“Holy, holy, holy, Lord!”source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 6:3] For The Beauty Of The Earth
For the beauty of the earth
For the glory of the skies,
For the love which from our birth
Over and around us lies.Refrain
Lord of all, to Thee we raise,
This our hymn of grateful praise.For the beauty of each hour,
Of the day and of the night,
Hill and vale, and tree and flower,
Sun and moon, and stars of light.Refrain
For the joy of ear and eye,
For the heart and mind’s delight,
For the mystic harmony
Linking sense to sound and sight.Refrain
For the joy of human love,
Brother, sister, parent, child,
Friends on earth and friends above,
For all gentle thoughts and mild.Refrain
For Thy Church, that evermore
Lifteth holy hands above,
Offering up on every shore
Her pure sacrifice of love.Refrain
For the martyrs’ crown of light,
For Thy prophets’ eagle eye,
For Thy bold confessors’ might,
For the lips of infancy.Refrain
For Thy virgins’ robes of snow,
For Thy maiden mother mild,
For Thyself, with hearts aglow,
Jesu, Victim undefiled.Refrain
For each perfect gift of Thine,
To our race so freely given,
Graces human and divine,
Flowers of earth and buds of Heaven.Refrain

[Isa 6:3] Great Giver Of All Good
Great Giver of all good,
To Thee our thanks we yield
For all the beauties of the wood,
Of hill, and dale, and field.Ten thousand various flowers
To Thee sweet offerings bear,
And joyous birds in woodlands bowers
Sing forth Thy tender care.The fields on every side
The trees on every hill,
The glorious sun, the rolling tide,
Proclaim Thy wonders still.But trees, and fields, and skies
Still praise a God unknown;
For gratitude and love can rise
From living hearts alone.These living hearts of ours
Thy holy Name would bless;
The blossoms of the thousand flowers
Would please the Savior less.While earth itself decays,
Our souls can never die;
O tune them all to sing Thy praise
In better songs on high.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 6:3] Harp At Nature’s Advent Strung, The
The harp at Nature’s advent strung
Has never ceased to play;
The song the stars of morning sung
Has never died away.And prayer is made, and praise is giv’n,
By all things near and far;
The ocean looketh up to Heav’n,
And mirrors every star.Its waves are kneeling on the strand,
As kneels the human knee,
Their white locks bowing to the sand,
The priesthood of the sea!They pour their glittering treasures forth,
Their gifts of pearl they bring,
And all the listening hills of earth
Take up the song they sing.The green earth sends its incense up
From many a mountain shrine;
From folded leaf and dewy cup
She pours her sacred wine.The mists above the morning rills
Rise white as wings of prayer;
The altar-curtains of the hills
Are sunset’s purple air.The winds with hymns of praise are loud,
Or low with sobs of pain—
The thunder-organ of the cloud,
The dropping tears of rain.With drooping head and branches crossed
The twilight forest grieves,
Or speaks with tongues of Pentecost
From all its sunlit leaves.The blue sky is the temple’s arch,
Its transept earth and air,
The music of its starry march
The chorus of a prayer.So Nature keeps the reverent frame
With which her years began,
And all her signs and voices shame
The prayerless heart of man.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 6:3] Holy, Holy, Holy
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessèd Trinity!Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore Thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim falling down before Thee,
Who was, and is, and evermore shall be.Holy, holy, holy! though the darkness hide Thee,
Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see;
Only Thou art holy; there is none beside Thee,
Perfect in power, in love, and purity.Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise Thy Name, in earth, and sky, and sea;
Holy, holy, holy; merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessèd Trinity!Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 6:3] Holy, Holy, Holy Lord (wesley)
Holy, holy, holy Lord,
God the Father, and the Word,
God the Comforter, receive
Blessings more than we can give!
Mixed with those beyond the sky,
Chanters to the Lord Most High,
We our hearts and voices raise,
Echoing Thy eternal praise.One, inexplicably Three,
Three, in simplest Unity,
God, incline Thy gracious ear,
Us, Thy lisping creatures, hear!
Thee while man, the earth-born, sings,
Angels shrink within their wings;
Prostrate seraphim above
Breathe unutterable love.Happy they who never rest,
With Thy heavenly presence blest!
They the heights of glory see,
Sound the depths of Deity.
Fain with them our souls would vie,
Sink as low, and mount as high;
Fall o’erwhelmed with love, or soar,
Shout, or silently adore.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 6:3] Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord (wordsworth)
Holy, holy, holy, Lord
God of Hosts, eternal King,
By the heavens and earth adored!
Angels and archangels sing,
Chanting everlastingly
To the blessèd Trinity.Since by Thee were all things made,
And in Thee do all things live,
Be to Thee all honor paid;
Praise to Thee let all things give;
Singing everlastingly
To the blessèd Trinity.Thousands, tens of thousands, stand,
Spirits blest, before Thy throne,
Speeding thence at Thy command,
And, when Thy behests are done,
Singing everlastingly
To the blessèd Trinity.Cherubim and seraphim
Veil their faces with their wings;
Eyes of angels are too dim
To behold the King of kings,
While they sing eternally
To the blessèd Trinity.Thee apostles, prophets thee,
Thee the noble martyr band,
Praise with solemn jubilee;
Thee, the church in every land;
Singing everlastingly
To the blessèd Trinity.Hallelujah! Lord, to Thee
Father, Son and Holy Ghost,
Godhead one, and Persons three,
Join we with the heavenly host,
Singing everlastingly
To the blessèd Trinity.source: Cyberhymnal -

Jehovah, Thee we praise,
The triune God adore;
To Father, Son and Spirit raise
Glad anthems evermore,
Glad anthems evermore.Thou art exalted high,
Thrice holy is Thy throne;
With sinless seraphs would we vie
To make Thy glory known,
To make Thy glory known.Thrice holy, Lord, they cry,
Before Thy throne above;
Thrice holy, we on earth reply,
Thou God of light and love,
Thou God of light and love.Thou art the sovereign Lord
Of angels and of men;
We bow submissive to Thy Word,
Nor shall we bow in vain,
Nor shall we bow in vain.Accept, O God of grace,

Before Thee, as to Heav’n we raise
Our voice in praise and prayer,
Our voice in praise and prayer.Play source: Cyberhymnal -

To take our load of sins away,
Thine be the hymn that rolls its tide
Along the realms of upper day.O Holy Spirit, from above
In streams of light and glory given,
Thou Source of ecstasy and love,
Thy praises ring through earth and heaven.O God Triune, to Thee we owe

Angels and seraphim proclaim;
By all the powers and thrones in Heaven,

[Isa 6:3] We Thank Thee, Lord, For This Fair Earth
We thank Thee, Lord, for this fair earth,
The glittering sky, the silver sea;
For all their beauty, all their worth,
Their light and glory, come from Thee.Thine are the flowers that clothe the ground,
The trees that wave their arms above,
The hills that gird our dwellings round,
As Thou dost gird Thine own with love.Yet teach us still how far more fair,
More glorious, Father, in Thy sight,
Is one pure deed, one holy prayer,
One heart that owns Thy Spirit’s might.So while we gaze with thoughtful eye
On all the gifts Thy love has given,
Help us in Thee to live and die,
By Thee to rise from earth to Heaven.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 6:3] We Thank Thee, Lord, Thy Paths Of Service Lead
We thank Thee, Lord, Thy paths of service lead
To blazoned heights and down the slopes of need;
They reach Thy throne, encompass land and sea,
And he who journeys in them walks with Thee.We’ve sought and found Thee in the secret place
And marveled at the radiance of Thy face;
But often in some far off Galilee
Beheld Thee fairer yet while serving Thee.We’ve felt Thy touch in sorrow’s darkened way
Abound with love and solace for the day;
And, ’neath the burdens there, Thy sovereignty,
Has held our hearts enthralled while serving Thee.We’ve seen Thy glory like a mantle spread
O’er hill and dale in saffron flame and red;
But in the eyes of men, redeemed and free,
A splendor greater yet while serving Thee.Show us the paths in which Thou wouldest lead
To blazoned heights or down the slopes of need;
For both alike encompass land and sea,
And he who journeys in them walks with Thee.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 6:3] We Worship Thee, Almighty Lord

Holy, holy, holy art Thou, O God!Upon a mountain builded high,
Thy Church doth in Thy strength rely,
And standeth sure while earth and time endure.
Holy, holy, holy art Thou, O God!Through her shall every land proclaim
The sacred might of Jesus’ Name,
And all rejoice with Christian heart and voice.
Holy, holy, holy art Thou, O God!All nations to Thy throne shall throng

[Isa 6:3] When Comes The Golden Sunset
When comes the golden sunset
That trails God’s way on high,
And with its radiant splendor
Illumes the evening sky,
How are the hills and valleys
Aglow with crimson rays,
While nature’s deep toned organ
Lifts heavenward its praise:Refrain
“Holy, holy!” Angel voices sing it;
“Holy, holy!” Cloudy pinions wing it;
“Holy, holy!” Gleaming towers ring it;
“Holy, holy, is the Lord most high.”So God reveals at sunset
The grandeur of His throne,
The deeper, fuller glory
Reserved to be our own;
And in that hour’s unfolding
Forgot are fear and pain
In love’s abounding solace,
In heaven’s great refrain:Refrain
Then come, blest hour of sunset,
Along the golden way,
And thrill us with the splendors
That fill life’s perfect day.
God is the end of living,
He satisfies the soul,
And they who seek His glory
Will find in Him their goal.Refrain

[Isa 26:20] See The Gloomy Gathering Cloud
See the gloomy gathering cloud
Hanging o’er a sinful land!
Sure the Lord proclaims aloud,
Times of trouble are at hand:
Happy they, who love His Name!
They shall always find Him near;
Though the earth were wrapped in flame,
They have no just cause for fear.Hark! His voice in accents mild,
O, how comforting and sweet!
Speaks to every humble child,
Pointing out a sure retreat!
Come, and in My chambers hide,
To My saints of old well known;
There you safely may abide,
Till the storm be overblown.You have only to repose
On My wisdom, love, and care;
Where My wrath consumes my foes,
Mercy shall My children spare:
While they perish in the flood,
You that bear My holy mark,
Sprinkled with atoning blood,
Shall be safe within the ark.Sinners, see the ark prepared!
Haste to enter while there’s room;
Though the Lord His arm has bared,
Mercy still retards your doom:
Seek Him while there yet is hope,
Ere the day of grace be past;
Lest in wrath He give you up,
And this call should prove your last.Play source: Cyberhymnal

Wake, isles of the South! Your redemption is near,
No longer repose in the borders of gloom;

And light shall arise on the verge of the tomb,
And light shall arise on the verge of the tomb.The billows that girt you, the wild waves that roar,
The zephyrs that play where the ocean storms cease,
Shall bear the rich freight to your desolate shore,
Shall waft the glad tidings of pardon and peace,
Shall waft the glad tidings of pardon and peace.On the islands that sit in the regions of night,
The lands of despair, to oblivion a prey,
The morning will open with healing and light,
The glad star of Bethlehem brighten today,
The glad star of Bethlehem brighten today.The heathen will hasten to welcome the time,
The dayspring, the prophet in vision once saw,
When the beams of Messiah will ’lumine each clime,

[Isa 53:5] Great Healer, The
Oh, when shall sickness and disease
Their persecuting warfare cease;
And weakness die, and grief and pain,
And death itself at last be slain?Doubt not that better day is near,
The suffering sons of earth to hear;
Disease and pain are born of sin.
Their remedy is found within.Let Christ, descending from above,
Become incarnate in Thy love.
The inward ills and wrong subdue,
And make Thy fallen nature new.Let the great Healer make Thee free
From sin’s corroding malady;

Shall make the suffering body whole.Play source: Cyberhymnal -

He was nailed to the cross for me;
On the cross crucified for me He died;

Took upon Him the form of man.Refrain
He was wounded for our transgressions,

[Isa 53:5] Heal Us, Emmanuel
Heal us, Emmanuel, hear our prayer
[originally, Heal us, Emmanuel, here we are]
We wait to feel Thy touch;
Deep wounded souls to Thee repair,
And Savior, we are such.Our faith is feeble, we confess
We faintly trust Thy Word;
But wilt Thou pity us the less?
Be that far from Thee, Lord!Remember him who once applied
With trembling for relief
“Lord, I believe,” with tears he cried;
“O help my unbelief!”She, too, who touched Thee in the press
And healing virtue stole,
Was answered, “Daughter, go in peace;
Thy faith has made thee whole.”Concealed amid the gathering throng,
She would have shunned Thy view;
And if her faith was firm and strong,
Had strong misgivings too.Like her, with hopes and fears we come
To touch Thee if we may;
O send us not despairing home;
Send none unhealed away.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 53:5] How Beauteous Were The Marks Divine
How beauteous were the marks divine,
That in Thy meekness used to shine;
That lit Thy lonely pathway, trod
In wondrous love, O Lamb of God!Oh! who like Thee, so calm, so bright;
So pure, so made to live in light?
Oh, who like Thee did ever go
So patient through a world of woe?Oh, who like Thee so humbly bore
The scorn, the scoffs of men, before?
So meek, forgiving, godlike, high,
So glorious in humility?And all Thy life’s unchanging years,
A man of sorrows and of tears,
The cross, where all our sins were laid,
Upon Thy bending shoulders weighed.E’en death, which sets the prisoner free,
Was pain, and scoff, and scorn to Thee;
Yet love through all Thy torture glowed,
And mercy with Thy lifeblood flowed.Oh, in Thy light be mine to go,
Illumining all my way of woe!
And give me ever on the road
To trace Thy footsteps, Son of God!Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 53:5] I Lay My Sins On Jesus
I lay my sins on Jesus, the spotless Lamb of God;
He bears them all, and frees us from the accursèd load;
I bring my guilt to Jesus, to wash my crimson stains
White in His blood most precious, till not a stain remains.I lay my wants on Jesus; all fullness dwells in Him;
He heals all my diseases, He doth my soul redeem:
I lay my griefs on Jesus, my burdens and my cares;
He from them all releases, He all my sorrows shares.I rest my soul on Jesus, this weary soul of mine;
His right hand me embraces, I on His breast recline.
I love the Name of Jesus, Immanuel, Christ, the Lord;
Like fragrance on the breezes His Name abroad is poured.I long to be like Jesus, strong, loving, lowly, mild;
I long to be like Jesus, the Father’s holy Child:
I long to be with Jesus, amid the heavenly throng,
To sing with saints His praises, to learn the angels’ song.Play source: Cyberhymnal -

Bonds and stripes and wretchedness
And your crucifixion;
Make me see how scourge and rod,
Spear and nails, did wound You,
How You died for those, O God,
Who with thorns had crowned You.Let, O Lord, not thus alone
Make me see your Passion,
But its cause to me make known
And its termination.
For I also and my sin
Wrought your deep affliction;
This the shameful cause has been
Of Your crucifixion.Let me view Your pain and loss
With repentant grieving,
Nor prepare again your cross
By unholy living.
May I give you love for love!
Hear me, O my Savior,
That I may in Heav’n above
Sing your praise forever.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 53:5] More Marred Than Any Man’s
More marred than any man’s
The Savior’s visage see;
Was ever sorrow like to His,
Endured on Calvary!Oh, hear that piercing cry!
What can its meaning be?
“My God! my God! oh! why hast Thou
In wrath forsaken Me?”Oh ’twas because our sins
On Him by God were laid;
He who Himself had never sinned
For sinners, sin was made.Thus sin He put away
By His one sacrifice
Then, Conqueror o’er death and hell,
He mounted to the skies.Therefore let all men know
That God is satisfied;
And sinners all who Jesus trust
Through Him are justified.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 53:5] My Sins Laid Open To The Rod
My sins laid open to the rod,
The back which from the law was free;
And the eternal Son of God
Received the stripes once due to me.No beam was in His eye, nor mote,
Nor laid to Him was any blame;
And yet His cheeks for me were smote—
The cheeks that never blushed for shame.I pierced those sacred hands and feet
That never touched or walked in sin;
I broke the heart that only beat
The souls of sinful men to win.That sponge of vinegar and gall
Was placed by me upon His tongue;
And when derision mocked His call,
I stood that mocking crowd among.And yet His blood was shed for me,
To be of sin the double cure;
And balm there flows from Calvary’s tree
That heals my guilt and makes me pure.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 53:5] Now, My Soul, Thy Voice Upraising
Now, my soul, thy voice upraising,
Tell in sweet and mournful strain
How the Crucified, enduring
Grief, and wounds, and dying pain,
Freely of His love was offered,
Sinless was for sinners slain.Scourged with unrelenting fury
For the sins which we deplore,
By His livid stripes He heals us,
Raising us to fall no more;
All our bruises gently soothing,
Binding up the bleeding sore.See! His hands and feet are fastened
So He makes His people free;
Not a wound whence blood is flowing
But a fount of grace shall be;
Yea the very nails which nail Him
Nail us also to the tree.Through His heart the spear is piercing,
Though His foes have seen Him die;
Blood and water thence are streaming
In a tide of mystery,
Water from our guilt to cleanse us,
Blood to win us crowns on high.Jesu, may those precious fountains
Drink to thirsting souls afford:
Let them be our cup and healing,
And at length our full reward;
So a ransomed world shall ever
Praise Thee, its redeeming Lord.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 53:5] O Christ, What Burdens Bowed Thy Head
O Christ, what burdens bowed Thy head!
Our load was laid on Thee;
Thou stoodest in the sinner’s stead,
Didst bear all ill for me.
A Victim led, Thy blood was shed;
Now there’s no load for me.Death and the curse were in our cup:
O Christ, ’twas full for Thee;
But Thou hast drained the last dark drop,
’Tis empty now for me.
That bitter cup, love drank it up;
Now blessing’s draught for me.Jehovah lifted up His rod;
O Christ, it fell on Thee!
Thou wast sore stricken of Thy God;
There’s not one stroke for me.
Thy tears, Thy blood, beneath it flowed;
Thy bruising healeth me.The tempest’s awful voice was heard,
O Christ, it broke on Thee!
Thy open bosom was my ward,
It braved the storm for me.
Thy form was scarred, Thy visage marred;
Now cloudless peace for me.Jehovah bade His sword awake;
O Christ, it woke ’gainst Thee!
Thy blood the flaming blade must slake;
Thine heart its sheath must be;
All for my sake, my peace to make;
Now sleeps that sword for me.For me, Lord Jesus, Thou hast died,
And I have died in Thee!
Thou’rt ris’n—my hands are all untied,
And now Thou liv’st in me.
When purified, made white and tried,
Thy glory then for me!Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 53:5] O Thou Through Suffering Perfect Made
O Thou through suffering perfect made,
On Whom the bitter cross was laid;
In hours of sickness, grief and pain,
No sufferer turns to Thee in vain.The halt, the maimed, the sick, the blind,
Sought not in vain Thy tendance kind,
Now in Thy poor Thyself we see,
And minister through them to Thee.O loving Savior, Thou canst cure
The pains and woes Thou didst endure;
For all who need, Physician great,
Thy healing balm we supplicate.But, O far more, let each keen pain
And hour of woe be heavenly gain,
Each stroke of Thy chastising rod
Bring back the wanderer nearer God!O heal the bruisèd heart within!
O save our souls all sick with sin!
Give life and health in bounteous store,
That we may praise Thee evermore!Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 53:5] Take Me As I Am, O Savior
Take me as I am, O Savior
Better I can never be;
Thou alone canst bring me nearer
Self but draws me far from Thee.
I can never, I can never, I can never
But within Thy wounds be saved,
But within Thy wounds be saved.Wearied of the desert journey
Which through pain and peril goes,
I have failed, alone, to conquer
E’en the meanest of my foes.
But the strongest, but the strongest, but the strongest,
Flies before Thy glorious Name,
Flies before Thy glorious Name.Calvary’s blood the weak exalteth
More than conquerors to be;
Calvary’s blood the strong abaseth
Myriad hosts to bow to Thee.
O revive me, O revive me, O revive me
With a breeze from Calvary,
With a breeze from Calvary.I will trust Thy might unmeasured
Great the work that marks Thy way;
Thou hast death, and Thou hast Satan,
Thou hast hell beneath Thy sway;
Hill of Calv’ry! Hill of Calv’ry! Hill of Calv’ry!
I shall praise for evermore.
I shall praise for evermore.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 53:5] Wounded For Me
Wounded for me, wounded for me,
There on the cross He was wounded for me;
Gone my transgressions, and now I am free,
All because Jesus was wounded for me.Dying for me, dying for me,
There on the cross He was dying for me;
Now in His death my redemption I see,
All because Jesus was dying for me.Risen for me, risen for me,
Up from the grave He has risen for me;
Now evermore from death’s sting I am free,
All because Jesus has risen for me.Living for me, living for me,
Up in the skies He is living for me;
Daily He’s pleading and praying for me,
All because Jesus is living for me.Coming for me, coming for me,
One day to earth He is coming for me;
Then with what joy His dear face I shall see,
O how I praise Him—He’s coming for me!Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 53:5] Wounded For Our Transgressions
Sing we the praises of Jesus, the wonderful Savior of men;
Sing how He died for our ransom, yet liveth in glory again;
Tell how His grace is sufficient a world of lost sinners to save;
Tell how whoever believeth a perfect salvation shall have.Refrain
Wounded for our transgressions,
Treading the winepress alone;
Brought as a lamb to the slaughter,
Jesus the Infinite One.
Shall we not praise Him forever,
Worship His Name and adore?
He Who was slain, but now liveth again,
Is our Savior forevermore.To Bethlehem of Judea a Babe in a manger He came;
Lived He a life of the lowly, enduring the cross and its shame;
Tempted in all points as we are, and yet without sin was He found;
God-man, our frailties He knows, and His grace doth to sinners abound.Refrain
Glory to God in the highest, our glad hearts exultingly sing,
Praises forever and ever to Jesus our Savior and King;
No more despised and rejected, for sinners to suffer and die,
Worshipped, enthroned and exalted, He liveth forever on high.Refrain

Isaiah 60:2
-
[Isa 60:2] Arise, O God, And Shine
Arise, O God, and shine
In all Thy saving might,
And prosper each design
To spread Thy glorious light;
Let healing streams of mercy flow
That all the earth Thy truth may know.Bring distant nations near
To sing Thy glorious praise;
Let every people hear
And learn Thy holy ways.
Reign, mighty God, assert Thy cause
And govern by Thy righteous laws.Put forth Thy glorious power
That Gentiles all may see
And earth present her store
In converts born to Thee.
God, our own God, His Church will bless
And fill the world with righteousness.To God, the only Wise,
The one immortal King,
Let hallelujahs rise
From every living thing;
Let all that breathe, on every coast
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.Play source: Cyberhymnal
