Isaiah 14:3

Context
14:3 When the Lord gives you relief from your suffering and anxiety,¹ and from the hard labor which you were made to perform,

Isaiah 23:12

23:12 He said,

“You will no longer celebrate,

oppressed² virgin daughter Sidon!

Get up, travel to Cyprus,

but you will find no relief there.”³

¹tn The verb that introduces this verse serves as a discourse particle and is untranslated; see note on “in the future” in 2:2.

²tn Or “violated, raped,” the point being that Daughter Sidon has lost her virginity in the most brutal manner possible.

³tn Heb “[to the] Kittim, get up, cross over; even there there will be no rest for you.” On “Kittim” see the note on “Cyprus” at v. 1.

similar	search for verses that contains words that similar in spelling to the search words.	"fish" will search verses that contain words which has similar spelling with fish. The result: "dish",etc
displaying	set the max displaying in one page.	"20" will set displaying max to 20 per page
range	set searching range	"All Bible", "Old Testament", "New Testament"
