1 tn Heb “and bows cut to bits young men.” “Bows” stands by metonymy for arrows.
2 tn Heb “the fruit of the womb.”
3 tn Heb “their eye does not.” Here “eye” is a metonymy for the whole person.
4 tn Heb “you will not be united with them in burial” (so NASB).
5 tn Heb “Are you not children of rebellion, offspring of a lie?” The rhetorical question anticipates the answer, “Of course you are!”
6 tn Heb “all who see them will recognize them, that they [are] descendants [whom] the Lord has blessed.”
