Isaiah 6:8
-
[Isa 6:8] From The Depths Of Sin And Failure
From the depths of sin and failure,
From despair as black as night,
Lord, we hear our brothers calling
For deliverance and for light.Refrain
Use us, Lord, to speed Thy kingdom;
Through us may Thy will be done;
Give us eyes to see the vision
Of a world redeemed and won.By the love that bore in silence
Man’s contempt and Satan’s dart;
By the longing for the lost ones
That consumes the Savior’s heart;Refrain
By the Savior’s blood that bought us,
By the peace His merits bring,
By the Spirit that constrains us
Now on earth to crown Him King;Refrain

[Isa 6:8] Hark, The Voice Of Jesus Calling
Hark, the voice of Jesus calling,
“Who will go and work today?
Fields are ripe and harvests waiting,
Who will bear the sheaves away?”
Long and loud the Master calls us,
Rich reward He offers free;
Who will answer, gladly saying,
“Here am I, send me, send me”?If you cannot cross the ocean,
And the distant lands explore,
You can find the lost around you,
You can help them at your door;
If you cannot give your thousands,
You can give the widow’s mite;
What you truly give for Jesus,
Will be precious in His sight.If you cannot speak like angels,
If you cannot preach like Paul,
You can tell the love of Jesus,
You can say He died for all.
If you cannot rouse the wicked,
With the judgment’s dread alarms,
You can lead the little children
To the Savior’s waiting arms.If you cannot be the watchman,
Standing high on Zion’s wall,
Pointing out the path to heaven,
Offering life and peace to all,
With your prayers and with your bounties
You can do what heaven demands;
You can be like faithful Aaron,
Holding up the prophet’s hands.If among the older people,
You may not be apt to teach,
“Feed My lambs,” said Christ, our Shepherd,
“Place the food within their reach.”
And it may be that the children
You have led with trembling hand,
Will be found among your jewels,
When you reach the better land.Let none hear you idly saying,
“There is nothing I can do.”
While the lost of earth are dying,
And the Master calls for you;
Take the task He gives you gladly;
Let His work your pleasure be;
Answer quickly when He calls you,
“Here am I, send me, send me.”Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 6:8] Here Am I, Send Me
Hast Thou, O Lord, a work to do?
Here am I, send me!
The field is white, the lab’rers few,
Here am I, send me!Refrain
Over mountain, plain or sea,
Here am I, send me!
I’ll go to the ends of the earth for Thee,
Here am I, send me!O touch my lips with fire divine,
Here am I, send me!
The dross consume, the gold refine,
Here am I, send me!Refrain
A lowly vessel at Thy feet,
Here am I, send me!
O cleanse and for Thy use make meet,
Here am I, send me!Refrain
My heart now longs and yearns to go,
Here am I, send me!
To reap Thy harvest here below,
Here am I, send me!Refrain

[Isa 6:8] Lord Of Life, Prophetic Spirit
Lord of Life, prophetic Spirit,
In sweet measure evermore
To the holy children dealing
Each his gift from Thy rich store;
Bless Thy family, adoring
As in Israel’s schools of yore.Holy Jesus, Eye most loving,
On each young disciple bent;
Voice that, seeming earthly, summoned
Samuel to the awful tent;
Hand that cast Elijah’s mantle;
Thine be all Thy grace hath lent.As to Thine own seventy scholars
Thou of old Thine arm didst reach,
Under Thy majestic shadow
Guiding them to do and teach,
Till their hour of solemn unction;
So be with us all and each.God and Father of all spirits,
Whose dread call young Joshua knew,
Forty days in darkness waiting
With Thy servant good and true,
Thence to wage Thy war descending,
Own us, Lord, Thy champions, too.One Thy light, the temple filling,
Holy, holy, holy Three;
Meanest men and brightest angels
Wait alike the word from Thee;
Highest musings, lowliest worship,
Must their preparation be.Now Thou speakest—hear we trembling—
From the glory comes a voice.
Who accepts th’Almighty’s mission?
Who will make Christ’s work his choice?
Who for Us proclaim to sinners,
Turn, believe, endure, rejoice?Here are we, Redeemer, send us!
But because Thy work is fire,
And our lips, unclean and earthly,
Breathe no breath of high desire;
Send Thy seraph from the altar
Veiled, but in his bright attire.Cause him, Lord, to fly full swiftly
With the mystic coal in hand,
Sin consuming, soul transforming,
(Faith and love will understand);
Touch our lips, Thou awful Mercy
With Thine own keen healing brand.Thou didst come that fire to kindle;
Fain would we Thy torches prove,
Far and wide Thy beacons lighting
With th’undying spark of love:
Only feed our flame, we pray Thee,
With Thy breathings from above.Now to God, the soul’s Creator,
To His Word and wisdom sure,
To His all enlightening Spirit,
Patron of the frail and poor,
Three in One, be praise and glory,
Here and while the heav’ns endure.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 6:8] Master Comes! He Calls For Thee, The
The Master comes! He calls for thee—
Go forth at His almighty word,
Obedient to His last command,
And tell to those who never heard,
Who sit in deepest shades of night,
That Christ has come to give them light.The Master calls! Arise and go;
How blest His messenger to be!
He, who hath given thee liberty,
Now bids thee set the captives free;
Proclaim His mighty power to save,
Who for the world His lifeblood gave.The Master calls! Shall not thy heart
In warm responsive love reply,
“Lord, here am I; send me, send me,
Thy willing slave, to live or die—
An instrument unfit indeed,
Yet Thou wilt give me what I need”?And if thou canst not go, yet bring
An offering of a willing heart;
Then, though thou tarriest at home,
Thy God shall give thee too thy part;
The messengers of peace upbear
In ceaseless and prevailing prayer.Short is the time for service true,
For soon shall dawn that glorious day
When, all the harvest gathered in,
Each faithful heart shall hear Him say,
“My child, well done! your toil is o’er—
Enter My joy forevermore.”Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 6:8] May God Depend On You?
In the warfare that is raging
For the truth and for the right,
When the conflict fierce is raging
With the powers of the night,
God needs people brave and true;
May He then depend on you?Refrain
May the Lord depend on you?
Loyalty is but His due;
Say, O spirit brave and true,
That He may depend on you!See, they come on sable pinions,
Come in strong Satanic might,
Powers come and dark dominions
From the regions of the night.
God requires the brave and true;
May He then depend on you?Refrain
From His throne the Father sees us;
Angels help us to prevail;
And our Leader true is Jesus,
And we shall not, cannot fail.
Triumph crowns the brave and true;
May the Lord depend on you?Refrain

[Isa 6:8] Old, Old Way, The
Is your hope of glory bright?
Are you walking in the light,
Ever shining from the Savior’s throne?
Have you gone to Him for rest,
When your heart was sore oppressed?
Are you trusting in His arm alone?Refrain
Are you walking in the light,
In the blessèd, blessèd light?
Is it shining in your soul today?
With a firm abiding faith
That will triumph over death,
Are you walking in the old, old way?Have you taken up the cross?
Do you count the world but dross,
For the splendor you in Christ may see?
To His question, “Who will go,”
And His love to sinners show,
Will you answer “Here am I, send me”?Refrain
Tho’ your foes may all unite,
Will you battle for the right,
And the wonders of the Lord proclaim?
Will you stand with courage brave
And the royal banner wave,
Shouting vict’ry thro’ the Master’s Name?Refrain
O the bliss of those who trust
In the only wise and just,
And are looking for a home above;
If your lot with them is cast
You will anchor safe at last
In the haven of eternal love.Refrain

[Isa 6:8] Someone Shall Go
Someone shall go at the Master’s word
Over the sea to the lands afar,
Telling to those who have never heard
What His wonderful mercies are.
Shall it be you—shall it be I?
Who shall haste to tell what we know so well?
Shall you? Shall I?Someone shall gather the sheaves for Him,
Someone shall bind them with joyful hand,
Someone shall toil through the shadows dim,
For the morn in the heav’nly land.
Shall it be you—shall it be I?
Who shall bind the corn for the golden morn?
Shall you? Shall I?Someone shall travel with eager feet
Over the mountain and through the wild,
Bringing the news of redemption sweet
To each wandering sinful child.
Shall it be you—shall it be I?
Who shall sound the tale over hill and dale?
Shall you? Shall I?Someone shall carry His banner high,
Waving it out where the foe holds sway,
Some in His service shall live and die,
And with Jesus shall win the day!
Shall it be you— shall it be I?
Who His Name shall bear, and His triumph share?
Shall you? Shall I?Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 6:8] Speak, My Lord
Hear the Lord of harvest sweetly calling,
“Who will go and work for Me today?
Who will bring to Me the lost and dying?
Who will point them to the narrow way?”Refrain
Speak, my Lord, speak, my Lord,
Speak, and I’ll be quick to answer Thee;
Speak, my Lord, speak, my Lord,
Speak, and I will answer, “Lord, send me.”When the coal of fire touched the prophet,
Making him as pure, as pure can be,
When the voice of God said, “Who’ll go for us?”
Then he answered, “Here I am, send me.”Refrain
Millions now in sin and shame are dying,
Listen to their sad and bitter cry;
Hasten, brother, hasten to the rescue;
Quickly answer, “Master, here am I.”Refrain
Soon the time for reaping will be over;
Soon we’ll gather for the harvest home;
May the Lord of harvest smile upon us,
May we hear His blessèd, “Child, well done.”Refrain

[Isa 6:8] Victory May Depend On You, The
Thro’ the land a call is sounding,
And it comes to age and youth;
’Tis a summons to the conflict,
In the cause of right and truth:
To the standard of our Captain,
Lo, there comes a faithful few;
But the victory, my brother,
May depend on you.Refrain
The vict’ry may depend on you,
The vict’ry may depend on you;
Dare to stand among the few,
With the faithful tried and true,
For the vict’ry may depend on you.See the mighty hosts of evil
Spreading death throughout the land;
Who is there will answer quickly,
And the hosts of sin withstand?
Do not fear to join our standard,
For our ranks are tried and true,
And the victory, my brother,
May depend on you.Refrain
Lo, a triumph day is coming,
When our arms shall be laid down;
Then each faithful, loyal soldier
Shall receive a victor’s crown;
Would you stand among the victors,
With the band of faithful few?
Then the victory, my brother,
May depend on you.Refrain

[Isa 6:8] Voice Of God Is Calling, The
The voice of God is calling its summons in our day;
Isaiah heard in Zion and we now hear God say:
“Whom shall I send to succor my people in their need?
Whom shall I send to loosen the bonds of shame and greed?”“I hear My people crying in slum and mine and mill;
No field or mart is silent, no city street is still.
I see My people falling in darkness and despair.
Whom shall I send to shatter the fetters which they bear?”We heed, O Lord, Your summons, and answer: Here are we!
Send us upon Your errand, let us Your servants be.
Our strength is dust and ashes, our years a passing hour;
But You can use our weakness to magnify Your power.From ease and plenty save us; from pride of place absolve;
Purge us of low desire; lift us to high resolve;
Take us, and make us holy; teach us Your will and way.
Speak, and behold! We answer; command, and we obey!Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 6:8] Who Will Volunteer?

Someone now must fight and the victory win!
Who will heed the call, sounding now to all?
“Fight the fight of faith” with the hosts of sin!Refrain
We will volunteer! We will volunteer!
In the strength of Christ our King;
Battling for the right, we will ever fight,
Till the shouts of victory ring!Who will volunteer? Ever loud and clear
Sounds the Master’s charge for the lands afar.
None are drafted here! Who will volunteer?
Who will spread the news of the Morning Star?Refrain
Who will volunteer? Christ, your King, is near,
He His wondrous grace for each need supplies.
Bravely meet the foe; onward, upward go!
Rich reward awaits you beyond the skies!Refrain

Isaiah 21:11
-
[Isa 21:11] Lift Up Thine Eyes, O Watchman
Lift up thine eyes, O watchman, the armies of the Lord
Are riding forth to conquest with buckler, shield and sword;
Glad tidings unto Zion, that valiant host shall ring,
And shout aloud, “Hosanna! The Lord, the Lord is King”;
And shout aloud, “Hosanna! The Lord, the Lord is King.”What dost thou see, O watchman? What dost thou see afar?
“The gleaming of a banner, the rising of a Star.”
Then cry aloud, O watchman, with trumpet voice proclaim,
To all a full salvation, through Christ, the Savior’s Name,
To all a full salvation, through Christ, the Savior’s Name.That radiant banner gleaming, that Star divinely bright,
Shall bear to every nation the blessèd Gospel light;
All kingdoms, crowns, and scepters, before the Cross shall fall,
And Christ shall reign triumphant, the King and Lord of all;

[Isa 21:11] Watchman, Tell Me
Watchman, tell me, does the morning
Of fair Zion’s glory dawn;
Have the signs that mark His coming
Yet upon my pathway shone?
Pilgrim, yes, arise, look round thee,
Light is breaking in the skies;
Spurn the unbelief that bound thee,
Morning dawns, arise, arise!See the glorious light ascending
Of the grand Sabbatic year,
Hark! the voices loud proclaiming
The Messiah’s kingdom near;
Watchman, yes; I see just yonder,
Canaan’s glorious heights arise;
Salem, too, appears in grandeur,
Tow’ring ’neath her sunlit skies.Pilgrim, in that golden city,
Seated in the jasper throne,
Zion’s King, arrayed in beauty,
Reigns in peace from zone to zone;
There, on verdant hills and mountains,
Where the golden sunbeams play,
Purling streams, and crystal fountains,
Sparkle in th’eternal day.Pilgrim, see, the light is beaming
Brighter still upon thy way;
Signs through all the earth are gleaming,
Omens of thy coming day,
When the last loud trumpet sounding,
Shall awake from earth and sea,
All the saints of God now sleeping,
Clad in immortality!Watchman, lo, the land we’re nearing
With its vernal fruits and flowers!
On just yonder, O how cheering!
Bloom forever Eden flowers.

For the morning seems to dawn.
