• [Heb 4:3] Jesus, Son Of Mary, Fount Of Life Alone

  Jesus, Son of Mary, Fount of life alone, Here we hail Thee present on Thine altar throne. Humbly we adore Thee, Lord of endless might, In the mystic symbols veiled from earthly sight. Think, O Lord, in mercy on the souls of those Who, in faith gone from us, now in death repose. Here ’mid stress and conflict toils can never cease; There, the warfare ended, bid them rest in peace. Often were they wounded in the deadly strife; Heal them, Good Physician, with the balm of life. Every taint of evil, frailty and decay, Good and gracious Savior, cleanse and purge away.

  My faith has found a resting place, Not in device or creed; I trust the ever living One, His wounds for me shall plead.   There is no sorrow, Lord, too light To bring in prayer to Thee; There is no anxious care too slight To wake Thy sympathy. Thou, who hast trod the thorny road, Wilt share each small distress; The love, which bore the greater load, Will not refuse the less. There is no secret sigh we breathe, But meets Thine ear divine; And every cross grows light beneath The shadow, Lord, of Thine. Life’s ills without, sin’s strife within, The heart would overflow, But for that love which died for sin, That love which wept with woe.

  The wonders of redeeming love Our highest thoughts exceed; The Son of God comes from above For sinful man to bleed. He gives Himself, His life, His all, A sinless sacrifice, For man He drains the cup of gall, For man the Victim dies. And now before His Father’s face His precious blood He pleads; For those who seek the throne of grace, His love still intercedes. He knows the frailties of our frame, For He has borne our grief; Our great High Priest once felt the same, And He can send relief. His love will not be satisfied, Till He in glory sees The faithful ones for whom He died From sin forever free.

Hebrews 9:15

• [Heb 9:15] Jesus, In Thee Our Eyes Behold

  Jesus, in Thee our eyes behold A thousand glories more, Than the rich gems and polished gold The sons of Aaron wore. They first their own burnt offerings brought, To purge themselves from sin; Thy life was pure without a spot, And all Thy nature clean. Fresh blood as constant as the day Was on their altar spilt; But Thy one offering takes away For ever all our guilt. Their priesthood ran through several hands, For mortal was their race; Thy never changing office stands Eternal as Thy days. Once in the circuit of a year, With blood, but not his own, Aaron within the veil appears Before the golden throne: But Christ, by His own powerful blood, Ascends above the skies, And in the presence of our God Shows His own sacrifice. Jesus, the King of glory, reigns On Zion’s heav’nly hill; Looks like a lamb that has been slain, And wears His priesthood still. He ever lives to intercede Before His Father’s face: Give Him, my soul, thy cause to plead, Nor doubt the Father’s grace.

  My own dear land, where’er my footsteps wander, Ever to thee my heart still turns again; To thee my love grows ever fonder, fonder, Till in its might it is akin to pain. Ever to thee I’m bound in love and duty; No dearer land to me in all the earth; By all sweet ties of home and love and beauty, To thee I cleave, dear land that gave me birth. Yet I look on, beyond earth’s habitation, To where a home of rarer vision gleams, Fairer than earth’s most wonderful creation Bathed in the light of Heav’n’s own morning beams. There we shall meet, from every clime and nation, There we shall meet in answer to the call, There we shall meet in joyous consecration, Sons of one Father, brothers one and all.

  How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord, Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word! What more can He say than to you He hath said, You, who unto Jesus for refuge have fled? In every condition, in sickness, in health; In poverty’s vale, or abounding in wealth; At home and abroad, on the land, on the sea, As thy days may demand, shall thy strength ever be. Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed, For I am thy God and will still give thee aid; I’ll strengthen and help thee, and cause thee to stand Upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand. When through the deep waters I call thee to go, The rivers of woe shall not thee overflow; For I will be with thee, thy troubles to bless, And sanctify to thee thy deepest distress. When through fiery trials thy pathways shall lie, My grace, all sufficient, shall be thy supply; The flame shall not hurt thee; I only design Thy dross to consume, and thy gold to refine. Even down to old age all My people shall prove My sovereign, eternal, unchangeable love; And when hoary hairs shall their temples adorn, Like lambs they shall still in My bosom be borne. The soul that on Jesus has leaned for repose, I will not, I will not desert to its foes; That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake, I’ll never, no never, no never forsake.

What joy it will be when we see His face, Jesus, blessèd Jesus; Forever to sing of His love and grace, Jesus, blessèd Jesus: There at home on that shining shore, With the loved ones gone on before, We will praise Him forevermore, Our Jesus, blessèd Jesus.
