Hebrews 10:12-13

• [Heb 10:12] Come, All Harmonious Tongues

  Come, all harmonious tongues, Your noblest music bring; ’Tis Christ the everlasting God, And Christ the man, we sing. Tell how He took our flesh, To take away our guilt; Sing the dear drops of sacred blood That hellish monsters spilt. Alas! the cruel spear Went deep into His side, And the rich flood of purple gore Their murderous weapons dyed. The waves of swelling grief Did o’er His bosom roll, And mountains of almighty wrath Lay heavy on His soul. Down to the shades of death He bowed His smitten head; Yet He arose to live and reign When death itself is dead. No more the bloody spear, The cross and nails no more; For hell itself shakes at His Name, And all the heav’ns adore. There the Redeemer sits High on the Father’s throne; The Father lays His vengeance by, And smiles upon His Son. There His full glories shine With uncreated rays, And bless His saints and angels’ eyes To everlasting days.

  I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice, And it told Thy love to me; But I long to rise in the arms of faith And be closer drawn to Thee. • [Heb 10:22] Since We Have Confidence

  Since we have confidence to come to God, Since Jesus made a way by His own blood, Since He the veil did tear, A living way made clear, Our great High Priest is e’er, Let us draw near. Let us draw near to God, let us draw near; With all sincerity, let us draw near. Fully assured in faith, With hearts cleansed by His grace, All guilt and sin erased, Let us draw near. Let us hold to our hope, let us e’er hope, In God’s salvation great, let us e’er hope. God’s promises are true; He’s always faithful, too; What He has said, He’ll do; Let us e’er hope. Let us spur others on, let us spur on; Let us consider how we may spur on. Let us urge others to Show love in all they do, And good deeds e’er pursue; Let us spur on. Let us keep meeting e’er, let us still meet; Till Christ returns one day, let us still meet. Let us encourage e’er, Christ’s soon return declare, Till we His glory share, Let us still meet.
