Habakkuk 2:3

• [Hab 2:3] Lord, We Know That Thou Art Near Us

  Lord, we know that Thou art near us, Though Thou seem’st to hide Thy face; And are sure that Thou dost hear us, Though no answer we embrace. Not one promise shall miscarry Not one blessing come too late Though the vision long may tarry Give us patience, Lord to wait. While withholding—Thou art giving In Thine own appointed way And while waiting we’re receiving Blessings suited to our day. O the wondrous loving-kindness Planning, working out of sight, Bearing with us in our blindness, Out of darkness bringing light. Weaving blessings out of trials, Out of grief evolving bliss; Answering prayer by wise denials When Thy children ask amiss. And when faith shall end in vision, And when prayer is lost in praise, Then shall love, in full fruition, Justify Thy secret ways.

• [Hab 3:17] Though The Fig Tree Shall Not Blossom

  Though the fig tree shall not blossom, Neither fruit be in the vine: Though in vain the olive labors, And the fruitful fields decline: Refrain I will rejoice in the Lord, my Redeemer, Joyful I’ll trust Him, for He will provide, Giving me all that I need for my journey; I will not fear, for He walks by my side. Though no flocks are in the sheepfold, Neither cattle in the stalls: Though the earth is filled with famine, And no rain from Heaven falls: Refrain Though my path lies through the valley Of the shadows, He is near, For His rod and staff they comfort, And no evil I shall fear. Refrain Though my friends should not receive Him, Or through sin should prove untrue: Though the wicked should entice me, And should persecute me, too: Refrain

• [Hab 3:17] What Our Father Does Is Well

  What our Father does is well; Blessèd truth His children tell! Though He send, for plenty, want, Though the harvest-store be scant, Yet we rest upon His love, Seeking better things above. What our Father does is well; Shall the willful heart rebel? If a blessing He withhold In the field, or in the fold, Is it not Himself to be All our store eternally? What our Father does is well; Though He sadden hill and dell, Upward yet our praises rise For the strength His Word supplies; He has called us sons of God, Can we murmur at His rod? What our Father does is well; May the thought within us dwell; Though nor milk nor honey flow In our barren Canaan now, God can save us in our need, God can bless us, God can feed. Therefore unto Him we raise Hymns of glory, songs of praise; To the Father, and the Son, And the Spirit, Three in One, Honor, might, and glory be Now, and through eternity.
