Genesis 8:1

Context

8:1 But God remembered 1  Noah and all the wild animals and domestic animals that were with him in the ark. God caused a wind to blow over 2  the earth and the waters receded.

Genesis 41:32

Context
41:32 The dream was repeated to Pharaoh 3  because the matter has been decreed 4  by God, and God will make it happen soon. 5

1 tn The Hebrew word translated “remembered” often carries the sense of acting in accordance with what is remembered, i.e., fulfilling covenant promises (see B. S. Childs, Memory and Tradition in Israel [SBT], especially p. 34).

2 tn Heb “to pass over.”

3 tn Heb “and concerning the repeating of the dream to Pharaoh two times.” The Niphal infinitive here is the object of the preposition; it is followed by the subjective genitive “of the dream.”

4 tn Heb “established.”

5 tn The clause combines a participle and an infinitive construct: God “is hurrying…to do it,” meaning he is going to do it soon.
