Genesis 7:4

Context
7:4 For in seven days¹ I will cause it to rain² on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the ground every living thing that I have made.”

Genesis 18:24

Context
18:24 What if there are fifty godly people in the city? Will you really wipe it out and not spare³ the place for the sake of the fifty godly people who are in it?

¹tn Heb “for seven days yet,” meaning “after [or “in”] seven days.”

²tn The Hiphil participle מַמְטִיר (mamtir, “cause to rain”) here expresses the certainty of the act in the imminent future.

³tn Heb “lift up,” perhaps in the sense of “bear with” (cf. NRSV “forgive”).

displaying	set the max displaying in one page.	"20" will set displaying max to 20 per page
range	set searching range	"All Bible", "Old Testament", "New Testament"
