Genesis 22:12-13

• [Gen 22:13] The Saints Should Never Be Dismayed

  The saints should never be dismayed, Nor sink in hopeless fear; For when they least expect His aid, The Savior will appear. This Abr’am found: he raised the knife; God saw, and said, “Forbear! Yon ram shall yield his meaner life; Behold the victim there.” Once David seemed Saul’s certain prey; But hark! the foe’s at hand; Saul turns his arms another way, To save th’invaded land. When Jonah sunk beneath the wave, He thought to rise no more; But God prepared a fish to save, And bear him to the shore. Blest proofs of power and grace divine, That meet us in His Word! May every deep felt care of mine Be trusted with the Lord. Wait for His seasonable aid, And though it tarry, wait: The promise may be long delayed, But cannot come too late.

Genesis 24:31-32

• [Gen 24:31] Welcome, One And All

  We are gathered today in our Sunday school, With our hearts full of grateful praise; We rejoice, we rejoice, as we hither come, That the Lord doth direct our ways. Refrain We would join in the song of welcome: Welcome one and all today! Let us strive with our might e’er to do the right, And to seek for the lambs astray. We would go forth with zeal in our Master’s Name, And would bring many wand’rers in; We would tell them of Christ, who from glory came, E’en to save them from death and sin. Refrain One and all with a will let us work today, To restore to the Lord His own; Leading souls to the bright and the shining way, Serving Jesus, and Him alone. Refrain
