Genesis 12:19-20

Context
12:19 Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her¹ to be my wife?² Here is your wife!³ Take her and go!”⁴ 12:20 Pharaoh gave his men orders about Abram,⁵ and so they expelled him, along with his wife and all his possessions.

¹tn The preterite with vav (ו) consecutive here expresses consequence.

²tn Heb “to me for a wife.”

³tn Heb “Look, your wife!”

⁴tn Heb “take and go.”

⁵tn Heb “him”; the referent (Abram) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

displaying	set the max displaying in one page.	"20" will set displaying max to 20 per page
range	set searching range	"All Bible", "Old Testament", "New Testament"
