Genesis 1:8

1:8 God called the expanse “sky.”¹ There was evening, and there was morning, a second day.

¹tn Though the Hebrew word can mean “heaven,” it refers in this context to “the sky.”

²tn In v. 13 the ground (הָאֲדָמָה, ha’adamah) is dry; now the earth (הָאָרֶץ, ha’arets) is dry.

³tn Heb “lifted up his eyes and saw.”

⁴tn Heb “returned on his way.”

displaying	set the max displaying in one page.	"20" will set displaying max to 20 per page
range	set searching range	"All Bible", "Old Testament", "New Testament"
