Ezra 4:19

Context
4:19 So I gave orders, 1  and it was determined 2  that this city from long ago has been engaging in insurrection against kings. It has continually engaged in 3  rebellion and revolt.

Ezra 7:13

7:13 I have now issued a decree 4  that anyone in my kingdom from the people of Israel – even the priests and Levites – who wishes to do so may go up with you to Jerusalem. 5

Ezra 9:4-5

9:4 Everyone who held the words of the God of Israel in awe 8  gathered around me because of the unfaithful acts of the people of the exile. 9  Devastated, I continued to sit there until the evening offering.

9:5 At the time of the evening offering I got up from my self-abasement, 10  with my tunic and robe torn, and then dropped to my knees and spread my hands to the Lord my God.
