Ezra 2:62

2:62 They¹ searched for their records in the genealogical materials, but did not find them.² They were therefore excluded³ from the priesthood.

Ezra 5:13

5:13 But in the first year of King Cyrus of Babylon,⁴ King Cyrus enacted a decree to rebuild this temple of God.

¹tn Heb “these.”

²tn Heb “their records were searched for in the genealogical materials, but were not found.” This passive construction has been translated as active for stylistic reasons.

³tn Heb “they were desecrated.”

⁴sn Cyrus was actually a Persian king, but when he conquered Babylon in 539 b.c. he apparently appropriated to himself the additional title “king of Babylon.” The Syriac Peshitta substitutes “Persia” for “Babylon” here, but this is probably a hyper-correction.

start	search for verses that contains words that start with the search words	"fis" will search for verses that contains words start with "fis", the result will be "fish", "fishing", "fisherman", etc
similar	search for verses that contains words that similar in spelling to the search words.	"fish" will search verses that contain words which has similar spelling with fish. The result: "dish",etc
displaying	set the max displaying in one page.	"20" will set displaying max to 20 per page
range	set searching range	"All Bible", "Old Testament", "New Testament"
