Ezekiel 8:5

8:5 He said to me, “Son of man, look up toward 1  the north.” So I looked up toward the north, and I noticed to the north of the altar gate was this statue of jealousy at the entrance.

Ezekiel 13:13

13:13 “‘Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says: In my rage I will make a violent wind break out. In my anger there will be a deluge of rain and hailstones in destructive fury.

Ezekiel 17:16

17:16 “‘As surely as I live, declares the sovereign Lord, surely in the city 2  of the king who crowned him, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke – in the middle of Babylon he will die!

39:28 Then they will know that I am the Lord their God, because I sent them into exile among the nations, and then gathered them into their own land. I will not leave any of them in exile 9  any longer.

1 tn Heb “lift your eyes (to) the way of.”

2 tn Heb “place.”

3 tn Or “I will not reveal myself to you.”

4 tn Heb “their reproach.”

5 tn Heb “to contain, endure.” Since the Hebrew text as it stands makes little, if any, sense, most emend the text to read either “to consume” or “for destruction.” For discussion of options see D. I. Block, Ezekiel (NICOT), 1:693.

6 tn Heb “and poured out their harlotry on her.”

7 tn Heb “the wicked one.”

8 tn Heb “and in the statutes of life he walks.”

9 tn Heb “there,” referring to the foreign nations to which they were exiled. The translation makes the referent clear.
