Ezekiel 7:9

Context
7:9 My eye will not pity you; I will not spare 1  you. For your behavior I will hold you accountable, 2  and you will suffer the consequences of your abominable practices. Then you will know that it is I, the Lord, who is striking you. 3

Ezekiel 7:27

Context
7:27 The king will mourn and the prince will be clothed with shuddering; the hands of the people of the land will tremble. Based on their behavior I will deal with them, and by their standard of justice 4  I will judge them. Then they will know that I am the Lord!”

Ezekiel 14:22

Context
14:22 Yet some survivors will be left in it, sons and daughters who will be brought out. They will come out to you, and when you see their behavior and their deeds, you will be consoled about the catastrophe I have brought on Jerusalem – for everything I brought on it.

Ezekiel 16:52

Context
16:52 So now, bear your disgrace, because you have given your sisters reason to justify their behavior. 5  Because the sins you have committed were more abominable than those of your sisters; they have become more righteous than you. So now, be ashamed and bear the disgrace of making your sisters appear righteous.

Ezekiel 33:11

Context
33:11 Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but prefer that the wicked change his behavior 6  and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil deeds! 7  Why should you die, O house of Israel?’

1 tn The meaning of the Hebrew term is primarily emotional: “to pity,” which in context implies an action, as in being moved by pity in order to spare them from the horror of their punishment.

2 tn Heb “According to your behavior I will place on you.”

3 tn The MT lacks “you.” It has been added for clarification.

4 tn Heb “and by their judgments.”

5 tn Heb “because you have interceded for your sisters with your sins.”

6 tn Heb “turn from his way.”

7 tn Heb “ways.” This same word is translated “behavior” earlier in the verse.
