Ezekiel 40:9

40:9 He measured the porch of the gate as 14 feet, 1  and its jambs as 3½ feet; 2  the porch of the gate faced inward.

Ezekiel 40:17

40:17 Then he brought me to the outer court. I saw 3  chambers there, and a pavement made for the court all around; thirty chambers faced the pavement.

3 tn The word הִנֵּה (hinneh, traditionally “behold”) indicates becoming aware of something and has been translated here as a verb.

4 tc The LXX reads “porches.”

5 tn Heb “twenty cubits” (i.e., 10.5 meters).

6 sn That is, the cherubim.

7 tn Many interpreters assume that the human face of each cherub was the one that looked forward.

8 tn The word הִנֵּה (hinneh, traditionally “behold”) indicates becoming aware of something and has been translated here as a verb.
