Ezekiel 4:9

Context

4:9 “As for you, take wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and spelt, 1  put them in a single container, and make food 2  from them for yourself. For the same number of days that you lie on your side – 390 days 3  – you will eat it.

Ezekiel 29:5

Context

29:5 I will leave you in the wilderness,

you and all the fish of your waterways;

you will fall in the open field and will not be gathered up or collected. 4 

I have given you as food to the beasts of the earth and the birds of the skies.

Ezekiel 33:27

Context

33:27 “This is what you must say to them, ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: As surely as I live, those living in the ruins will die 5  by the sword, those in the open field I will give to the wild beasts for food, and those who are in the strongholds and caves will die of disease.

Ezekiel 34:8

34:8 As surely as I live, declares the sovereign Lord, my sheep have become prey and have become food for all the wild beasts. There was no shepherd, and my shepherds did not search for my flock, but fed themselves and did not feed my sheep,

Ezekiel 34:10

34:10 This is what the sovereign Lord says: Look, I am against the shepherds, and I will demand my sheep from their hand. I will no longer let them be shepherds; 6  the shepherds will not feed themselves anymore. I will rescue my sheep from their mouth, so that they will no longer be food for them.

Ezekiel 48:18

Context
48:18 The remainder of the length alongside the holy allotment will be three and one-third miles 7  to the east and three and one-third miles toward the west, and it will be beside the holy allotment. Its produce will be for food for the workers of the city.

4 tc Some Hebrew mss, the Targum, and the LXX read “buried.”

5 tn Heb “fall.”

6 tn Heb “I will cause them to cease from feeding sheep.”

7 tn Heb “ten thousand cubits” (i.e., 5.25 kilometers); the phrase occurs again later in this verse.
