Ezekiel 4:3

Context
4:3 Then for your part take an iron frying pan 1  and set it up as an iron wall between you and the city. Set your face toward it. It is to be under siege; you are to besiege it. This is a sign 2  for the house of Israel.

Ezekiel 13:14

Context
13:14 I will break down the wall you coated with whitewash and knock it to the ground so that its foundation is exposed. When it falls you will be destroyed beneath it, 3  and you will know that I am the Lord.

Ezekiel 24:6

Context

24:6 “‘Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says:

Woe to the city of bloodshed,

the pot whose rot 4  is in it,

whose rot has not been removed 5  from it!

Empty it piece by piece.

No lot has fallen on it. 6

2 tn That is, a symbolic object lesson.

3 tn Or “within it,” referring to the city of Jerusalem.

4 tn Or “rust.”

5 tn Heb “has not gone out.”

6 tn Here “lot” may refer to the decision made by casting lots; it is not chosen at all.
