Ezekiel 34:25

Context

34:25 “‘I will make a covenant of peace with them and will rid the land of wild beasts, so that they can live securely 1  in the wilderness and even sleep in the woods. 2 

Ezekiel 37:26

Context
37:26 I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be a perpetual covenant with them. 3  I will establish them, 4  increase their numbers, and place my sanctuary among them forever.

Ezekiel 43:27

Context
43:27 When the prescribed period is over, 5  on the eighth day and thereafter the priests will offer up on the altar your burnt offerings and your peace offerings; 6  I will accept you, declares the sovereign Lord.”

Ezekiel 45:15

Context
45:15 and one sheep from each flock of two hundred, from the watered places of Israel, for a grain offering, burnt offering, and peace offering, to make atonement for them, declares the sovereign Lord.

1 tn The phrase “live securely” occurs in Ezek 28:26; 38:8, 11, 14; 39:26 as an expression of freedom from fear. It is a promised blessing resulting from obedience (see Lev 26:5-6).

2 sn The woods were typically considered to be places of danger (Ps 104:20-21; Jer 5:6).

3 sn See Isa 24:5; 55:3; 61:8; Jer 32:40; 50:5; Ezek 16:60, for other references to perpetual covenants.

4 tn Heb “give them.”

5 tn Heb “and they will complete the days.”

6 sn The people also could partake of the food of the peace offering (Lev 3).
