Ezekiel 23:25

Context
23:25 I will direct 1  my jealous anger against you, and they will deal with you in rage. They will cut off your nose and your ears, 2  and your survivors will die 3  by the sword. They will seize your sons and daughters, and your survivors will be consumed by fire.

Ezekiel 25:7

Context
25:7 take note, I have stretched out my hand against you, and I will hand you over as plunder 4  to the nations. I will cut you off from the peoples and make you perish from the lands. I will destroy you; then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

Ezekiel 26:16

26:16 All the princes of the sea will vacate 5  their thrones. They will remove their robes and strip off their embroidered clothes; they will clothe themselves with trembling. They will sit on the ground; they will tremble continually and be shocked at what has happened to you. 6 

Ezekiel 29:19

29:19 Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says: Look, I am about to give the land of Egypt to King Nebuchadrezzar of Babylon. He will carry off her wealth, capture her loot, and seize her plunder; it will be his army’s wages.

Ezekiel 42:14

42:14 When the priests enter, then they will not go out from the sanctuary to the outer court without taking off their garments in which they minister, for these are holy; they will put on other garments, then they will go near the places where the people are.”

2 tn Heb “they will remove.”

4 tc The translation here follows the marginal reading (Qere) of the Hebrew text. The consonantal text (Kethib) is meaningless.

5 tn Heb “descend from.”

6 tn Heb “and they will be astonished over you.”
