Ezekiel 16:47

16:47 Have you not copied their behavior 1  and practiced their abominable deeds? In a short time 2  you became even more depraved in all your conduct than they were!

Ezekiel 18:13

18:13 engages in usury and charges interest. Will he live? He will not! Because he has done all these abominable deeds he will certainly die. 3  He will bear the responsibility for his own death. 4 

Ezekiel 21:12

21:12 Cry out and moan, son of man,

for it is wielded against my people;

against all the princes of Israel.

They are delivered up to the sword, along with my people.

Therefore, strike your thigh. 5 

Ezekiel 38:11

38:11 You will say, “I will invade 6  a land of unwalled towns; I will advance against 7  those living quietly in security – all of them living without walls and barred gates –

1 tn Heb “walked in their ways.”

2 tn The Hebrew expression has a temporal meaning as illustrated by the use of the phrase in 2 Chr 12:7.

3 tn Heb “be put to death.” The translation follows an alternative reading that appears in several ancient textual witnesses.

4 tn Heb “his blood will be upon him.”

5 sn This physical action was part of an expression of grief. Cp. Jer. 31:19.

6 tn Heb “go up against.”

7 tn Heb “come (to).”
