Ezekiel 1:8

5 tn Heb “stand.” The heart here stands for the emotions; Jerusalem would panic in the face of God’s judgment.
6 tn Heb “in the days when I act against you.”
7 tn Heb “and upright men will judge them (with) the judgment of adulteresses and the judgment of those who shed blood.”
8 tn Heb “with all your scorn in (the) soul.”
