Ephesians 1:21

• [Eph 1:21] Christ, Above All Glory Seated

  Christ, above all glory seated! King triumphant, strong to save! Dying, Thou hast death defeated; Buried, Thou hast spoiled the grave. Thou art gone, where now is given What no mortal might could gain, On the eternal throne of Heaven, In Thy Father’s power to reign. There Thy kingdoms all adore Thee, Heaven above and earth below; While the depths of hell before Thee Trembling and defeated bow. We, O Lord, with hearts adoring Follow Thee above the sky! Hear our prayers Thy grace imploring, Lift our souls to Thee on high. So when Thou again in glory On the clouds of Heaven shalt shine, We Thy flock may stand before Thee, Owned for evermore as Thine. Hail! all hail! in Thee confiding, Jesus, Thee shall all adore, In Thy Father’s might abiding With one Spirit evermore!

  Jesus! Name of wondrous love! Name all other names above! Unto which must every knee Bow in deep humility. Jesus! Name of priceless worth To the fallen sons of earth, For the promise that it gave— “Jesus shall His people save.” Jesus! Name decreed of old, To the maiden mother told— Kneeling in her lowly cell— By the angel Gabriel. Jesus! Name of mercy mild, Given to the holy Child, When the cup of human woe First He tasted here below. Jesus! Only name that’s given Under all the mighty heaven, Whereby man, to sin enslaved, Bursts his fetters, and is saved. Jesus! Name of wondrous love, Human name of God above! Pleading only this, we flee, Helpless, O our God, to Thee.

  Do you hear them coming, brother, Thronging up the steeps of light, Clad in glorious shining garments, Blood washed, garments pure and white? Refrain ’Tis a glorious church without spot or wrinkle, Washed in the blood of the Lamb; ’Tis a glorious church without spot or wrinkle, Washed in the blood of the Lamb. Do you hear the stirring anthems, Filling all the earth and sky, ’Tis a grand, victorious army, Lift its banner up on high! Refrain Never fear the clouds of sorrow, Never fear the storms of sin.
