Deuteronomy 7:10

Context
7:10 but who pays back those who hate¹ him as they deserve and destroys them. He will not ignore² those who hate him but will repay them as they deserve!

Deuteronomy 15:6

Context
15:6 For the Lord your God will bless you just as he has promised; you will lend to many nations but will not borrow from any, and you will rule over many nations but they will not rule over you.

Deuteronomy 28:30

Context
28:30 You will be engaged to a woman and another man will rape³ her. You will build a house but not live in it. You will plant a vineyard but not even begin to use it.

¹tn For the term “hate” as synonymous with rejection or disobedience see note on the word “reject” in Deut 5:9 (cf. NRSV “reject”).

²tn Heb “he will not hesitate concerning.”

³tc For MT reading שָׁגַל (shagal, “ravish; violate”), the Syriac, Targum, and Vulgate presume the less violent שָׁכַב (shakhav, “lie with”). The unexpected counterpart to betrothal here favors the originality of the MT.

displaying	set the max displaying in one page.	"20" will set displaying max to 20 per page
range	set searching range	"All Bible", "Old Testament", "New Testament"
