Deuteronomy 4:27

4:27 Then the Lord will scatter you among the peoples and there will be very few of you 1  among the nations where the Lord will drive you.

Deuteronomy 11:23

11:23 then he 2  will drive out all these nations ahead of you, and you will dispossess nations greater and stronger than you.

Deuteronomy 18:12

18:12 Whoever does these things is abhorrent to the Lord and because of these detestable things 3  the Lord your God is about to drive them out 4  from before you.

Deuteronomy 28:37

28:37 You will become an occasion of horror, a proverb, and an object of ridicule to all the peoples to whom the Lord will drive you.

1 tn Heb “you will be left men (i.e., few) of number.”

2 tn Heb “the Lord.” The pronoun has been used in the translation for stylistic reasons to avoid redundancy.

3 tn Heb “these abhorrent things.” The repetition is emphatic. For stylistic reasons, to avoid redundancy, the same term used earlier in the verse has been translated “detestable” here.

4 tn The translation understands the Hebrew participial form as having an imminent future sense here.
