Deuteronomy 12:11

12:11 Then you must come to the place the Lord your God chooses for his name to reside, bringing 1  everything I am commanding you – your burnt offerings, sacrifices, tithes, the personal offerings you have prepared, 2  and all your choice votive offerings which you devote to him. 3 

Deuteronomy 13:16

Context
13:16 You must gather all of its plunder into the middle of the plaza 4  and burn the city and all its plunder as a whole burnt offering to the Lord your God. It will be an abandoned ruin 5  forever – it must never be rebuilt again.

1 tn Heb “and it will be (to) the place where the Lord your God chooses to cause his name to dwell you will bring.”

2 tn Heb “heave offerings of your hand.”

3 tn Heb “the Lord.” See note on “he” in 12:5.

4 tn Heb “street.”

5 tn Heb “mound”; NAB “a heap of ruins.” The Hebrew word תֵּל (tel) refers to this day to a ruin represented especially by a built-up mound of dirt or debris (cf. Tel Aviv, “mound of grain”).
