Deuteronomy 1:31

1:31 and in the desert, where you saw him 1  carrying you along like a man carries his son. This he did everywhere you went until you came to this very place.”

Deuteronomy 27:10

1 tn Heb “the Lord your God.” The pronoun (“him”) has been employed in the translation for stylistic reasons.

2 tn Heb “if listening you listen to the voice of.” The infinitive absolute is used for emphasis, which the translation indicates with “carefully.” The idiom “listen to the voice” means “obey.”

3 tn Heb “the Lord your God.” See note on “he” in 15:4.

4 tn Heb “by being careful to do.”

5 tn Heb “commanding” (so NASB); NAB “which I enjoin you today.”
