Deuteronomy 1:21

1:21 Look, he 1  has placed the land in front of you! 2  Go up, take possession of it, just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, said to do. Do not be afraid or discouraged!”

Deuteronomy 4:23

4:23 Be on guard so that you do not forget the covenant of the Lord your God that he has made with you, and that you do not make an image of any kind, just as he 3  has forbidden 4  you.

Deuteronomy 24:16

24:16 Fathers must not be put to death for what their children 9  do, nor children for what their fathers do; each must be put to death for his own sin.

3 tn Heb “the Lord your God.” See note on “he” in 4:3.

4 tn Heb “commanded.”

5 tn Heb “for my soul desires to eat meat.”

6 tn Heb “according to all the desire of your soul you may eat meat.”

7 tn Heb “Atone for.”

8 tn Heb “and do not place innocent blood in the midst of your people Israel.”

9 tn Heb “sons” (so NASB; twice in this verse). Many English versions, including the KJV, read “children” here.
