Daniel 4:5

4:5 I saw a dream that 1  frightened me badly. The things I imagined while lying on my bed – these visions of my mind – were terrifying me.

Daniel 6:2

Context
6:2 Over them would be three supervisors, one of whom was Daniel. These satraps were accountable 2  to them, so that the king’s interests might not incur damage.

Daniel 6:5

6:5 So these men concluded, 3  “We won’t find any pretext against this man Daniel unless it is 4  in connection with the law of his God.”

Daniel 10:21

10:21 However, I will first tell you what is written in a dependable book. 5  (There is no one who strengthens me against these princes, 6  except Michael your 7  prince.

Daniel 12:4

12:4 “But you, Daniel, close up these words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will dash about, 8  and knowledge will increase.”

Daniel 12:6

12:6 One said to the man clothed in linen who was above the waters of the river, “When will the end of these wondrous events occur?”

1 tn Aram “and it.”

2 tn Aram “giving an account.”

3 tn Aram “were saying.”

4 tn Aram “unless we find [it] against him.”

5 tn Heb “a book of truth.” Several English versions treat this as a title of some sort (cf. NIV, NCV, TEV, CEV, NLT), although the NAB’s rendering “the truthful book” regards “truth” as an attributive adjective, as does the present translation.

6 tn The word “princes” is supplied for clarity.

7 tn The pronoun is plural in Hebrew, suggesting that Michael is the angelic prince of Daniel and his people.

8 tn Or “will run back and forth”; KJV “shall run to and fro”; NIV “will go here and there”; CEV “will go everywhere.”

sn Many will dash about is probably an allusion to Amos 8:12.
