Daniel 4:35

Context

4:35 All the inhabitants of the earth are regarded as nothing. 1 

He does as he wishes with the army of heaven

and with those who inhabit the earth.

No one slaps 2  his hand

and says to him, ‘What have you done?’

Daniel 6:22

Context
6:22 My God sent his angel and closed the lions’ mouths so that they have not harmed me, because I was found to be innocent before him. Nor have I done any harm to you, O king.”

Daniel 9:14

9:14 The LORD was mindful of the calamity, and he brought it on us. For the LORD our God is just 3  in all he has done, 4  and we have not obeyed him. 5 

1 tc The present translation reads כְּלָא (kÿla’), with many medieval Hebrew MSS, rather than כְּלָה (kÿlah) of BHS.

2 tn Aram “strikes against.”

3 tn Or “righteous.”

4 tn Heb “in all his deeds which he has done.”

5 tn Heb “we have not listened to his voice.”
