Daniel 4:30-31
Context4:30 The king uttered these words: “Is this not the great Babylon that I have built for a royal residence 1 by my own mighty strength 2 and for my majestic honor?” 4:31 While these words were still on the king’s lips, 3 a voice came down from heaven: “It is hereby announced to you, 4 King Nebuchadnezzar, that your kingdom has been removed from you!
Daniel 7:11
Context7:11 “Then I kept on watching because of the arrogant words of the horn that was speaking. I was watching 5 until the beast was killed and its body destroyed and thrown into 6 the flaming fire.
1 tn Aram “house.”
2 tn Aram “by the might of my strength.”
3 tn Aram “in the mouth of the king.”
4 tn Aram “to you they say.”
5 tc The LXX and Theodotion lack the words “I was watching” here. It is possible that these words in the MT are a dittography from the first part of the verse.
6 tn Aram “and given over to” (so NRSV).
