Daniel 3:7

Context
3:7 Therefore when they all 1  heard the sound of the horn, flute, zither, trigon, harp, pipes, 2  and all kinds of music, all the peoples, nations, and language groups began bowing down and paying homage to the golden statue that King Nebuchadnezzar had erected.

Daniel 5:16

Context
5:16 However, I have heard 3  that you are able to provide interpretations and to decipher knotty problems. Now if you are able to read this writing and make known to me its interpretation, you will wear purple and have a golden collar around your neck and be third 4  ruler in the kingdom.”

Daniel 8:13

8:13 Then I heard a holy one 5  speaking. Another holy one said to the one who was speaking, “To what period of time does the vision pertain – this vision concerning the daily sacrifice and the destructive act of rebellion and the giving over of both the sanctuary and army to be trampled?”

10:12 Then he said to me, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel, for from the very first day you applied your mind 6  to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard. I have come in response to your words.

4 tn Or perhaps “one of three rulers,” in the sense of becoming part of a triumvir. So also v. 29.

5 sn The holy one referred to here is presumably an angel. Cf. 4:13[10], 23 [20].
