5:13 None of the rest dared to join them,¹ but the people held them in high honor.²

Acts 8:29

Context
8:29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.”

¹tn Or “to associate with them.” The group was beginning to have a controversial separate identity. People were cautious about joining them. The next verse suggests that the phrase “none of the rest” in this verse is rhetorical hyperbole.

²tn Or “the people thought very highly of them.”

displaying	set the max displaying in one page.	"20" will set displaying max to 20 per page
range	set searching range	"All Bible", "Old Testament", "New Testament"
