Context

Paul is Shipwrecked

27:39 When day came, they did not recognize the land, but they noticed² a bay³ with a beach,⁴ where they decided to run the ship aground if they could.

¹tn “Then” is not in the Greek text, but has been supplied to clarify the logical sequence in the translation.

²tn Or “observed,” “saw.”

³tn Or “gulf” (BDAG 557 s.v. κόλπος 3).

⁴sn A beach would refer to a smooth sandy beach suitable for landing.

displaying	set the max displaying in one page.	"20" will set displaying max to 20 per page
range	set searching range	"All Bible", "Old Testament", "New Testament"
