• [2Ti 1:7] Thou God Of Power And God Of Love

  Thou God of power and God of love, Whose glory fills the realms above, Whose praise archangels sing, And veil their faces while they cry, “Thrice holy,” to their God most high, “Thrice holy,” to their King. Thee as our God we too would claim, And bless the Savior’s precious Name, Through Whom this grace is given: He bore the curse to sinners due, He forms their ruined souls anew, And makes them heirs of Heaven. The veil that hides Thy glory rend, And here in saving power descend, And fix Thy blest abode; Here to our hearts Thyself reveal, And let each waiting spirit feel The presence of our God.

  Lovers of pleasure more than God, For you He suffered pain; Swearers, for you He spilt his blood; And shall He bleed in vain? Misers, for you his life He paid, Your basest crime He bore: Drunkards, your sins on Him were laid, That you might sin no more. The God of love, to earth He came, That you might come to heaven; Believe, believe in Jesus’ Name, And all your sin’s forgiven. Believe in Him that died for thee, And, sure as He hath died, Thy debt is paid, Thy soul is free, And thou art justified.
