2:4 The men of Judah came and there they anointed David as king over the people 1  of Judah.

David was told, 2  “The people 3  of Jabesh Gilead are the ones who buried Saul.”

2 Samuel 15:23

Context

15:23 All the land was weeping loudly 4  as all these people were leaving. 5  As the king was crossing over the Kidron Valley, all the people were leaving 6  on the road that leads to the desert.

2 Samuel 19:2

Context
19:2 So the victory of that day was turned to mourning as far as all the people were concerned. For the people heard on that day, “The king is grieved over his son.”
