11:23 The messenger said to David, “The men overpowered us and attacked us¹ in the field. But we forced them to retreat all the way² to the door of the city gate.

2 Samuel 23:21

Context
23:21 He also killed an impressive-looking Egyptian.³ The Egyptian wielded a spear, while Benaiah attacked⁴ him with a club. He grabbed the spear out of the Egyptian’s hand and killed him with his own spear.

³tc The translation follows the Qere and many medieval Hebrew mss in reading אִישׁ (’ish, “man”) rather than the Kethib of the MT, אֲשֶׁר (’asher, “who”).

displaying	set the max displaying in one page.	"20" will set displaying max to 20 per page
range	set searching range	"All Bible", "Old Testament", "New Testament"
