2 Kings 7:9

Context
7:9 Then they said to one another, “It’s not right what we’re doing! This is a day to celebrate, but we haven’t told anyone. 1  If we wait until dawn, 2  we’ll be punished. 3  So come on, let’s go and inform the royal palace.”

2 Kings 9:15

Context
9:15 But King Joram had returned to Jezreel to recover from the wounds he received from the Syrians 4  when he fought against King Hazael of Syria. 5  Jehu told his supporters, 6  “If you really want me to be king, 7  then don’t let anyone escape from the city to go and warn Jezreel.”

2 Kings 11:15

Context
11:15 Jehoiada the priest ordered the officers of the units of hundreds, who were in charge of the army, 8  “Bring her outside the temple to the guards. 9  Put the sword to anyone who follows her.” The priest gave this order because he had decided she should not be executed in the Lord’s temple. 10

5 sn See 2 Kgs 8:28-29a.
