Context
7:6 The Lord had caused the Syrian camp to hear the sound of chariots and horses and a large army. Then they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has paid the kings of the Hittites and Egypt to attack us!”

2 Kings 17:4

Context
17:4 The king of Assyria discovered that Hoshea was planning a revolt.¹ Hoshea had sent messengers to King So² of Egypt and had not sent his annual tribute to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria arrested him and imprisoned him.³
